Dublin Zoo has changed its opening hours ahead of the launch of Wild Lights.
Dublin Zoo's opening hours are set to change due to the darker evenings.
The zoo confirmed it will now open at 9. 30 a.m. and will close at 4 p.m.
The last entry will be 3 p.m., the zoo revealed. It also confirmed the African Plains will close at 3.30 p.m.
The zoo is expected to be busier than usual in the coming weeks due to the launch of Wild Lights.
The event will see thousands of visitors flock to Dublin Zoo to enjoy stunning light installations.
This year's theme 'The Enchanted Zoo' promises to be the best yet with new discoveries into the secret life of Dublin Zoo at night.
Enter a world of magic and wonder with fairies, mythical creatures, vibrantly coloured animals, a gnome village, and even a dreamlike candy land, all lit up as beautiful silk lanterns.
Visitors will be greeted by the enchanted Wizard upon arrival. They can then choose their own adventure from a choice of three pathways to explore first.
Each pathway offers a magical gateway to showcase the secret life of Dublin Zoo at night.
Wild Lights will open to the public every day from November 16
th until January 2024 from 5 pm – 9 pm (excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and St Stephen’s Day).
Admission to Wild Lights will be €24.50 for adults and €20 for children. Annual pass holders can avail of a special rate of €22.50 for adults and €18 for children.
Children under the age of three go free but will require a pre-booked ticket. Students and OAP tickets are available for €20.50 for annual pass holders and €21.50 for those without an annual pass.
