Cindy Crawford ‘beyond heartbroken’ following death of son Presley at 27

The supermodel says the family are "beyond heartbroken" over his passing and described him as a "sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved".

In a message posted to Instagram alongside a photo of her son, she wrote: "He is a sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved, now and forever. We are so proud of how he showed up in the world with kindness and vulnerability.

"We feel so blessed to have had Presley in our lives for 27 years. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from so many who know and love our family and even strangers who feel our pain.

"Til we meet again our sweet boy. We love you forever, Mom, Dad and Kaia."

Crawford posted the heartbreaking tribute on Sunday just one month of her 27-year-old son died.

He passed away on September 20th at a rehab facility in California. Police said officials are continuing the investigation into his death, which at this point is a suspected overdose.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has listed Gerber's case as pending additional investigation, however the Santa Monica Police Department has said there is no indication that any foul play was involved.

Presley Gerber was a successful model, just like his mother and younger sister, Kaia. He made his runway debut at the age of 16 for the Italian label, Moschino.
