Mum’s photo of mould hidden in child’s lunchbox will make your stomach turn

A mum has shared a photo of the mould hidden in her children's lunchboxes and it's honestly more than a bit disgusting. Grace Bollen said she decided to one day pull apart her kid's lunchboxes to give them a deep clean, as you would. She was fairly horrified though to discover that a severe amount of mould had accumulated in between the plastic during the time that the boxes had been in use. In the case of the yellow box, it was 12 months with the blue one being used for nine months. Grace wrote that you probably shouldn't be buying lunchboxes that you can't clean all the parts of. She said:

"So today, something in me prompted me to pry open the glue in the kid's lunchboxes. This is what I found. "I’m absolutely appalled. I feel awful that my children have been eating lunch out of these. The children’s lunchboxes have been hand washed each night & left open to dry."

Grace went on to say that the lunchbox's manufacturers had been in touch with her. They both said that they were going to rectify the problem and find a way to make the lunchboxes airtight.
