The Irish mum has penned a book so vital and so comforting that it will undoubtedly offer so many people a sense of hope and comfort.
Dóchas is a little book of hope for people facing IVF in Ireland and across the world.
Speaking to Her Book Club, Lisa explained the book's inspiration.
"Dóchas, the Irish word for hope, is a pocket-sized affirmation book created from my own IVF experience. Filled with comforting words for the hard days, reminders that you’re not alone, and little moments of hope to hold onto, it was created to say the things you wish people would have said. Even if it's as simple as “I’m sorry you’re going through this."
"Whether women are going through IVF quietly or have their support network, it can be hard for others to relate when they haven't been through it themselves," she added.
Lisa, who is now a mum to son Noah, added:
"The journey is so unpredictable and sometimes unfair so the book aims to be, hopefully, some comfort for those in the depths of it."
This is a book to get you through the days that feel heavy or to celebrate the good.
Lisa went through IVF herself, so she understands wholeheartedly what this experience is like.
"I wanted to create this book after going through IVF myself. I couldn't find a book for us women who are going through it, so I wanted to create a space for us. The hope with this book is to say things you wish people would have said, sit with you in the bad days, and celebrate the good."
It is a gentle reminder that you are not alone, and that someone is rooting for you. This book is an essential source of light that so many will need, and we're so grateful to Lisa for creating it.
