A big chill is on the way
Met Éireann has warned the public that temperatures are set to drop this week.
Frosty conditions are on the way so get your scarves and hats out of storage.
The forecaster said temperatures will drop as we enter the month of November.
After the weekend's stormy weather, today will be clearer with scattered heavy showers.
"Lingering blustery rain will clear Ulster and north Leinster this morning with scattered heavy showers elsewhere. Sunny spells and scattered heavy showers will follow for the rest of the day, driest across the east and southeast with showers retreating to Atlantic coastal areas this evening.
"Brisk westerly winds will moderate later too. Feeling cool with highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees Celsius."
Temperatures will fall to 1-6 degrees tonight.
The forecaster shared, "Chilly with perhaps a touch of frost; lowest temperatures of 1 to 6 degrees, coldest under clearer skies, in just light westerly breezes."
The weather will take a turn on Wednesday night with frost and low temperatures predicted.

Temperatures could fall as low as -2 degrees on Wednesday night, which is set to be the coldest night this week.
Overall, this week is set to be a lot colder with scattered showers and the odd spell of sunshine.
The weekend will be mixed with some wet and windy spells.
