Downton Abbey actress Joanne Froggatt is pregnant
Huge congratulations are in order for actress Joanne Froggatt who has confirmed she is pregnant with her first child.
The actress, best known for her roles in Liar and Downton Abbey, announced the news on the red carpet for the Into Film Awards.
Joanne wore a beautiful bespoke red dress for the event, which was designed especially for the actress.
Joanne has not yet commented on her pregnancy publically as she tends to keep her personal life out of the spotlight.
The actress was previously married to James Cannon. The pair tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in October 2012, but the actress revealed they ended their relationship in 2020.
Speaking to The Telegraph, the mum-to-be said they had ended their marriage, but she was feeling hopeful about the future.
She said, “We’ve actually been separated for a little while. I’m looking to the future… I’m just going to embrace this year and see what happens.”
Fans of the Downton Abbey actress have been showering her with loving messages since she announced her pregnancy.
One said, “So many congratulations on the pregnancy! You’re going to be such an amazing mum! Wishing you all the luck and happiness in the world.”
